My Story
My delightful caramel journey kicks off with my grandmother and her cherished "Everton Toffee" recipe, a festive treat made every Christmas! This heartwarming tradition continued with my dad, who prepared it each year after her passing, filling our holidays with sweet memories. I still vividly recall the first time I tasted that luscious, rich caramel flavor—it was pure bliss, and I couldn't wait for the next holiday to indulge again! As I explored life, my love for caramel only grew stronger. In my early twenties, I embarked on an exciting adventure with a cruise line, traveling the globe and sampling an array of incredible flavour combinations in every port! After six amazing years at sea and meeting my soulmate, we settled in Canada, where I opened my own international candy shop, Sugar & Co. Sweet Shop in Ambleside, West Vancouver. I began crafting fresh caramels to share with my customers as a token of appreciation, and soon enough, they couldn't get enough! That’s how my handcrafted confectionery business was born. With the inspiration from my travels, I poured my heart into creating unique flavors, ensuring every batch is made to order for ultimate freshness. Every moment spent in my business, from crafting the caramels to beautifully packaging them, fills me with joy!
